About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Mobile Performance Test Engineer to assess the responsiveness, stability, resource utilization, and scalability of mobile applications and their supporting services. The engineer will design realistic workload scenarios, measure performance across devices and network conditions, diagnose bottlenecks, and collaborate with mobile and backend engineers to improve the end-user experience. This is a remote, full-time, direct W-2 position. The stated annual salary range is $115,000–$165,000. The role requires typically 5+ years of experience in performance testing or mobile quality engineering. The employer is unable to sponsor new H-1B visa petitions; U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Typically 5+ years in performance testing or mobile quality engineering, aligned with the approved requisition.
  • Experience testing iOS or Android applications and understanding mobile operating-system behavior.
  • Hands-on knowledge of performance tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or equivalent load-testing platforms.
  • Ability to use Android Profiler, Xcode Instruments, logs, and network diagnostics to investigate performance issues.
  • Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, latency, throughput, concurrency, caching, and client-server architecture.
  • Experience analyzing test results and communicating bottlenecks and recommendations to engineering teams.
  • Strong scripting, troubleshooting, analytical, and technical reporting skills.
  • Experience working in iterative software delivery teams, participating in planning, defect triage, and release validation as appropriate to the assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mobile device farms, real-device testing, and varied network-condition simulation.
  • Familiarity with Appium, CI/CD integration, and automated performance regression checks.
  • Exposure to APM platforms and backend observability tools.
  • Relevant performance-testing or mobile-platform certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop performance test strategies and scenarios for native, hybrid, and mobile web applications.
  • Measure startup time, screen responsiveness, rendering, memory, CPU, battery, and network behavior across devices.
  • Execute load and stress tests against mobile backend services and analyze throughput, latency, and error patterns.
  • Use platform profiling and monitoring tools to isolate bottlenecks and provide actionable engineering recommendations.
  • Publish performance baselines, test reports, trend analysis, and release-readiness findings.
