Mobile Medical Trailer Truck Driver

Akumin•Scranton, PA
•$27 - $35•Onsite

About The Position

Akumin is seeking dependable, efficient CDL Class A truck drivers for local deliveries of mobile medical diagnostic equipment, including MRI, PET, and CT units. Drivers are responsible for safely and punctually moving tractor trailers configured as mobile imaging units. The role requires organization, attention to detail, independent work, a clean driving record, and commercial driving experience. Drivers report to a designated parking location to pick up their truck, then travel to hospitals and medical clinics. Because technicians scan during the day, trailer moves generally take place at night. At client locations, drivers drop off or pick up trailers and set up or tear down the trailer, a process that takes approximately 30–45 minutes. Drivers typically transport one or two trailers per night. Akumin provides four to six weeks of training on routes and trailer setup and teardown. The schedule consists of 8–10-hour shifts, four to five times per week. Start times range from 2 PM to 6 PM and finish times range from midnight to 4 AM. Shifts include weeknights and some weekend nights. The position is based in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, and pays $27–$35 per hour depending on experience and location.
