About The Position

Akumin Inc. is seeking dependable, efficient CDL Class A drivers to transport tractor trailers configured as mobile medical imaging units, including MRI, PET, and CT equipment. Drivers travel to hospitals and medical clinics, safely moving trailers to scheduled locations and handling drop-offs and pickups. Technicians scan during the day, so trailer moves generally take place at night. Drivers report to a designated parking location to collect their truck and typically transport one or two trailers per night. At each site, drivers set up or tear down the trailer, a process that takes approximately 30–45 minutes. Training is provided for four to six weeks on routes and trailer setup and teardown. Shifts are eight to twelve hours and may include weekdays, weeknights, and some weekends. Drivers should expect to be away from home for one to two weeks at a time.
