About The Position

Akumin Inc. is seeking dependable, efficient CDL Class A drivers to transport tractor trailers configured as mobile medical imaging units (MRI, PET, and CT). Drivers move trailers at night between hospitals and medical clinics where daytime imaging appointments are scheduled. They report to a designated parking location to pick up their truck and typically transport one to two trailers per night. At each client location, they drop off or pick up the trailer and perform setup or teardown, which takes approximately 30–45 minutes and involves getting out of the truck to unload or pack up the trailer. The role includes 4–6 weeks of training on routes and trailer setup and teardown. Shifts are 8–12 hours and include a mixture of weekdays and/or weeknights, as well as some weekends. Drivers should expect to be away from home for one to two weeks at a time.
