Mobile Locksmith Technician
About The Position
Hillman is hiring a Mobile Locksmith Technician for its growing Automotive Key Services team in Sacramento, California. The technician works from a fully equipped mobile service van, delivering automotive key cutting, duplication, programming, key fob, and locksmith services directly at customer locations. Working alongside an Automotive Mobile Sales Representative, the technician serves as the technical expert and provides customer-focused service. The role involves diagnosing customer needs, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating appointments and daily service activities, and maintaining the van, inventory, supplies, and equipment. Technicians travel to one store location per day within a 50-mile radius. Typical hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with schedule options of Thursday–Monday or Friday–Tuesday. Weekend availability is required, and schedules may vary based on business needs. The position offers $25 per hour plus 5% commission on sales. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a locksmith license where required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer, email, and mobile technology proficiency.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to work in a mobile, field-based environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends and varying schedules as business needs require.

Responsibilities
- Provide automotive key cutting, duplication, programming, and key fob services at customer locations.

- Serve as the technical expert in the field while maintaining a customer-first approach.

- Manage and maintain a fully equipped mobile locksmith van.
- Maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment readiness.
- Coordinate customer appointments and daily service activities.
