About The Position

The Lonestar Truck Group and TAG Truck Centers have built an excellent reputation within the heavy truck industry. This role is for a Mobile Technician who will perform repairs and other related work at the customer's location and/or other off-site locations. The ideal candidate will be customer service focused and able to diagnose and repair assigned vehicles accurately and efficiently, while maintaining the cleanliness of the customer's vehicle and adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Verbal and written communication to include simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Basic computer use and navigation skills.
Knowledge of Heavy Duty/ Medium repair techniques.
Ability to learn company standards, warranty procedures, and vehicle policies.
Customer Service focused.
Able to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree from a two year college or trade school.
Minimum of 6 months Heavy Duty/ Medium Duty repair work.
Commercial Driver’s License
Clean MVR Record
Own tools

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair assigned vehicles in an accurate and timely manner.
Verify repair is complete and fixes original customer complaint.
Notify shop foreman of other potential issues associated with vehicle.
Punches in and out of job costing program to ensure accurate time billed to customer.
Mindful of maintaining customer’s vehicle cleanliness at all times while working on vehicle.
Works to achieve company efficiency standards.
Ensures warranty parts are returned to proper department for processing.
Follows all established OSHA and company safety protocol to include keeping work station neat, clean, and free of debris.
