About The Position

Prestige Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to perform on-site maintenance and repairs for Class 6–8 trucks and trailers. The role uses company technology to process work orders and reduce administrative time. Technicians provide repairs and inspections at customer locations and help keep fleets operating.

The position involves working outdoors and in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. First- and second-shift options are available. Pay is $29–$36 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience is preferred.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
• Valid driver's license.
• Self-motivation and strong organization and planning skills.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet to process work orders, enter labor hours, and update work order statuses.
• At least 2 years of experience performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• At least 2 years of experience in truck or trailer maintenance and repair, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6–8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, and tires.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders using a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and promptly.
