About The Position

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II or Senior Mobile Diesel Technician (Level 3) to provide mobile maintenance and repair services for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles. The role works in a mobile/field environment and performs licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, follow-up repairs, and mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics. Level II technicians may perform advanced diagnostics and repairs under the supervision of a senior technician or higher while continuing to develop advanced skills. Senior technicians handle advanced diagnostics and complicated repairs, provide triage support to Level I and II technicians, and serve as leads at customer jobsites and as consultants to customers. Technicians manage their daily schedules and work with a high degree of independence while meeting productivity and standard repair-time expectations. They maintain a company-issued service truck, its inventory and equipment, and complete safety checks and pre- and post-trip inspections. Work and findings are documented on repair orders using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application. The position requires compliance with company safety, health, and environmental policies and applicable OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. The posted schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position involves 100% travel and may be performed remotely, provided the employee lives in the specified city, state, or region. The hourly pay range is $29.38–$44.09, with potential additional compensation such as commissions or incentives. The role requires a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical, unless an eligible current DOT medical card is provided. Candidates must be at least 21 and hold a valid driver’s license.
