About The Position

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II or Senior Mobile Diesel Technician (Level III) to provide mobile, on-site maintenance and repair for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles. The Level II technician performs licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light and follow-up repairs, and mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics. More advanced diagnostics and repairs are performed under the supervision of a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician or higher, while the technician continues developing advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills. Both levels are expected to follow company policies and meet performance standards. Technicians work in a mobile/field environment, handling scheduled maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, customer communication, parts and inventory management, and service documentation. They operate and maintain a company-issued service truck, manage their daily schedule with a high degree of independence, and comply with applicable company safety and environmental policies and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday with variable shift hours.
