Mobile Automotive Technician
About The Position
Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring an Automotive Technician/Mechanic in Cleveland, Ohio, to maintain and repair light- to medium-duty fleet vehicles. The role pays $35.00–$39.00 per hour, based on experience, with weekly pay every Friday. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. This position works in a mobile, outside, and/or shop environment and includes exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, oils, greases, and other mechanical materials. The technician will work independently and with a team to support fleet operations and must follow safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen and DOT physical if required.
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions in the described work environment, including working in various weather conditions and navigating an active workspace around large vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light- to medium-duty fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
