About The Position

This is a full-time, 2nd shift position in Microbiology at the Winston Campus. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results, maintaining quality control and assurance procedures, and ensuring safety and compliance. The position also requires maintaining appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and stay current with certifications, as well as ensuring productive and efficient operations of the section and department. Adherence to general hospital standards for a cooperative work environment is also expected.

Requirements

Associate's degree with experience preferred.
MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results.
Ensures quality of test results by following defined Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
Ensures safety and compliance.
Maintains appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and maintain current certifications as applicable.
Ensures productive and efficient operations of the section and department.
Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
