About The Position

The Mix Maker/Separator Operator produces in-spec cream cheese mix by following established procedures and operating standardization equipment. The role also assists on the packaging line as needed and prepares cream cheese mix according to production requirements. The operator works without direct supervision and is responsible for safety, sanitation, quality, equipment operation, production yields, and accurate records.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent skills acquired through experience.
Basic math skills to calculate production yields and understand weights and measures.
Demonstrated and documented safe working habits and good attendance.
Ability to read, interpret, understand, and verbally communicate in English.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand written and oral directions.

Previous dairy or food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Follow safety, sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality policies, and manufacturing procedures.
Follow blend recipes, formulas, SOPs, and SSOPs to operate cream cheese standardization equipment, including separation, blending, ingredient addition, and homogenization.
Complete required pre-startup sanitation requirements.
Ensure correct ingredient addition and perform required in-process testing.
Make accurate in-process adjustments to maintain product specifications.
Maintain product yield targets.
Notify department management of deviations that could cause product to fail to meet specifications.
Maintain cream cheese standardization equipment and the work environment in a safe and effective manner.
Verify the functional operation of standardization equipment as required by SOPs.
Complete required production and CIP records accurately.
Assist on the packaging line as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
