About The Position

The Mix Maker/Separator Operator produces in-spec product by following procedures and operating standardization equipment, and assists on the packaging line as needed to satisfy customer expectations. The position also makes Cream Cheese Mix as production dictates. The operator works without direct supervision and follows safety, sanitation, GMP, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent skills gained through experience.
• Basic math skills to calculate production yields and understand weights and measures.
• Demonstrated and documented safe working habits and good attendance.
• Ability to read, interpret, understand, and verbally communicate in English.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand written and oral directions.

• Previous dairy or food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow blend recipes, formulas, SOPs, and SSOPs to operate cream cheese standardization equipment, including separation, blending, ingredient addition, and homogenization.
• Complete required pre-startup sanitation requirements.
• Ensure proper ingredient addition and perform required in-process testing.
• Make accurate in-process adjustments to keep product within specifications.
• Maintain product yield targets.
• Notify department management of deviations that could cause product to fail to meet required specifications.
• Maintain standardization equipment and the work environment in a safe and effective manner.
• Verify the functional operation of standardization equipment as required by SOPs.
• Complete required production and CIP documentation accurately.
• Assist on the packaging line as needed and perform other duties as required.
