About The Position

The Mixer Truck Driver operates a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to the Precast Plant. The role coordinates concrete delivery and pouring with production personnel, helps maintain production schedules, and supports upkeep of the truck, batch plant equipment, and work area. The driver must follow company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete to the production area as directed by bed personnel.
• Coordinate concrete pours with associates in the designated production area.
• Check fluid levels and perform minor truck maintenance or request maintenance when necessary.
• Maintain the preventative maintenance program for batch plant equipment.
• Operate the truck mixer and judge concrete slump.
• Operate a loader and assist with plant maintenance when needed.
• Meet production concrete delivery schedules.
• Use computerized batching systems.
• Load the truck properly, drive safely in the yard, and discharge concrete into forms.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, tools, and equipment through housekeeping.
• Follow all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
