Mixed-Signal Verification Engineer

Apple•San Diego, CA

About The Position

Join Apple’s wireless silicon development team, which develops wireless silicon with an emphasis on energy-efficient design and technologies that transform product experiences. The team spans RF/analog, systems/PHY/MAC, VLSI/RTL, emulation, design verification, test and validation, and firmware/software engineering. In this role, you will contribute to wireless mixed-signal silicon design and verification. You will verify RF and mixed-signal blocks and their interfaces within the wireless SoC, working with analog/RF design, digital design verification, digital design, and wireless systems teams. You will help develop verification methodologies that ensure silicon-correct functionality while balancing coverage and time to tape-out.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Industry verification experience with RF/mixed-signal blocks and SoCs.
  • Expertise building mixed-signal testbenches, checkers, and tests using SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with UVM methodology and HDL (SystemVerilog, Verilog) for verification.
  • Strong verification skills in problem solving, testing, and debugging.
  • Understanding of common analog/RF blocks.
  • Experience with UPF, Python, or Matlab.
  • Experience with Virtuoso Composer, ADE, and HED.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise creating and using real-numbered analog behavioral models in SystemVerilog.
  • Wireless experience.
