About The Position
Elk Park Animal Hospital, a large and busy community clinic, offers comprehensive veterinary services including digital radiology, cold laser therapy, orthopedic surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, a complete pharmacy, Chinese medicine, acupuncture, physical therapy, and herbal medicine. They provide essential services five days a week, with on-call and mobile assistance for large animals and emergencies. The practice type is mixed animal, with an average daily patient volume of 12 and a 3:1 support staff ratio. The case mix includes wellness, surgery, dentistry, and a majority of small animal caseload.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Compassionate, client-centered approach to care.
- Strong communication and client-education skills.
- Experience with clinic leadership and/or mentorship to take on MD role.
Responsibilities
- Practice exceptional medicine and surgery with the full support of medical systems and team.
- Provide on-call and mobile assistance for large animals and emergencies.
- Collaborate with skilled technicians, dedicated CSRs, and strong leadership.
- Mentor team members and contribute to a positive, supportive culture.
- Engage in continuous growth and excellence in patient care.
