About The Position

Crete Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to provide care for companion animals and livestock in Crete, Nebraska, about 25 miles southwest of Lincoln. The caseload is approximately 50% large animal and 50% small animal. The clinic has served southeastern Nebraska for nearly 40 years and provides care for pets, horses, livestock, and the families who depend on them. Its collaborative veterinary team and strong technician support allow doctors to focus on patient care and develop individual interests. The practice combines a close-knit rural setting with equipment, diagnostics, and support for evidence-based medicine. New graduates can receive mentorship, and the position offers medical autonomy and opportunities to pursue veterinary interests. The large-animal caseload includes cow/calf, equine, small feedlot, swine, poultry, and small ruminant medicine. Small-animal work includes preventive and sick-care appointments, dentistry, urgent cases, and surgery. The role includes a rotating large-animal after-hours emergency schedule. Crete offers small-town living with Lincoln-area amenities nearby.
