About The Position

Mitigation Restoration Technicians are responsible for providing immediate response and mitigation services in the event of water, fire, mold, or other types of damage to commercial properties. Their job involves inspecting the extent of the damage, assessing the necessary steps for remediation, and executing the restoration process. This role requires prompt response to emergency calls, thorough damage assessment, implementation of mitigation techniques, accurate documentation, operation of specialized equipment, adherence to safety protocols, effective communication, and quality control. The position also involves other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in mitigation and/or restoration.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Possess excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
Strong interpersonal and communication with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment (60 lbs.).
Ability to work under pressure and stress.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of restoration techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Capable of flying to remote jobsites when requested.
Familiarity with computers and phone applications or demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.

Nice To Haves

IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Promptly responding to calls for mitigation services, assessing the situation, and taking immediate action to prevent further damage.
Inspecting affected areas to evaluate the extent of damage and determining the appropriate restoration procedures.
Implementing mitigation techniques such as water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and odor control to minimize damage and prevent further deterioration.
Accurately documenting all work performed, including damage assessments, restoration procedures, and materials used, for insurance claims and customer records.
Operating specialized equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers, moisture meters, and thermal imaging cameras to aid in the restoration process.
Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety, as well as the safety of team members and occupants of affected properties.
Effectively communicating with customers, insurance providers, and team members to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure a smooth restoration process.
Conducting thorough checks to ensure that all restoration work meets industry standards and customer expectations.
Completing and submitting all job invoices daily by the end of the workday.
Being available when scheduled to work and completing all assigned jobs.
Being available for scheduled on-call jobs.
Willingness to travel for extended periods of time depending on job size and location.
Other tasks as assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or Project Manager.
