The Southeast Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC), housed on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University since 1996, serves approximately 84 school districts in the southeast region. RPDC personnel provide continuous training programs for teachers and administrators throughout the area. This role involves collaborative work across the state to implement regional MTDS (Missouri Teacher Development System) technical assistance and programming, develop MTDS materials and resources, facilitate MTDS specific programming, and understand, promote, and implement the MTDS Framework. The specialist will also develop program evaluation methods, host information sessions for grant applications, review and evaluate teacher recruitment and retention grants, and engage in ongoing planning, production, implementation, and evaluation for MTDS programming. Additionally, the role includes program implementation monitoring, data reporting, and providing assistance to DESE and external researchers.
