About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented Professional Development Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Radiology, enthusiastic about onboarding new employees, and assisting with both the CT and MRI trainee programs. The position supports all locations, with the majority of duties performed at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. The specialist will be responsible for onboarding new employees, managing the expanded trainee programs in CT and MRI, and ensuring structured training, mentorship, and professional development for CT and MRI staff. Requirements

  • Minimum three years current applicable clinical experience in a health care setting required.
  • Bachelor's health care related field degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan development activities that impact positive outcomes and performance required.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
  • Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach required.
  • Knowledge of systems and change theory, individual, and group behaviors, teaching and learning principles, and research outcomes required.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities required.
  • Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in Radiology required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s health care related field degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate processes to meet the educational, development and competency needs of radiology and radiology support staff through effective use of a variety of learning activities.
  • Align activities with programs and processes for standardized functions for Radiology Professional Development.
  • On-board new employees.
  • Manage the expanded trainee programs in both CT and MRI.
  • Ensure structured training, mentorship, and professional development for CT and MRI staff.
