About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented Professional Development Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Radiology, enthusiastic about onboarding new employees, and assisting/supporting diagnostic X-Ray departments. The position primarily supports all locations, with most duties at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. The specialist will be responsible for onboarding new employees, managing expanded trainee programs, and supporting diagnostic X-Ray departments. Requirements

  • Minimum three years current applicable clinical experience in a health care setting required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a health care related field required.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan development activities that impact positive outcomes and performance required.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
  • Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach required.
  • Knowledge of systems and change theory, individual, and group behaviors, teaching and learning principles, and research outcomes required.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities required.
  • Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in Radiology required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a health care related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate processes to meet the educational, development, and competency needs of radiology and radiology support staff through effective use of a variety of learning activities.
  • Align activities with programs and processes for standardized functions for Radiology Professional Development.
  • On-board new employees.
  • Manage expanded trainee programs.
  • Support diagnostic X-Ray departments.
