About The Position

The Mission Support Technician supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will have a firm understanding of operations and maintenance or security procedures. They will coordinate support with other internal program elements to give and receive additional support as needed. Assists with maintaining, securing, issuing and ensuring accountability for visitor restricted area badges in support of site access duties and distinguished visitor (DV) events. Assist with installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and other Field Service activities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Conducts security briefings to required personnel regarding visiting and escorting MDA facilities. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective and efficient interchanges with various members of the team and stakeholders. Ensures construction and maintenance personnel are properly badged, are briefed on security standards and are monitored within the restricted area for conformance with all applicable security policies and regulations. Ensures repairs are completed to quality standards and conducts post-repair quality checks to prevent repeat issues. Utilizes technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems efficiently and effectively. Assists staff personnel with plans, programs, and implementation of activities which may include security, logistics, visitor control, protocol events, scheduling, and test support. Assists customer with maintaining security databases, tracking escort training and access lists to secured rooms, security containers within the facility and photographic device permits. Adheres to all safety regulations and procedures, promoting a culture of safety. This is a full-time, on-site position. The successful candidate will be able to understand and follow detailed instructions, write clear and concise reports of incidents or observations, interact professionally and courteously with a diverse range of people, and have a strong sense of ethics and a commitment to following and upholding security protocols. Requirements

4 or more years of general (full-time) work experience (may be reduced with completion of advanced education)
2 or more years of directly related experience in maintenance or security operations
Active DoW Secret Security Clearance
Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions
Ability to write clear and concise reports of incidents or observations
Ability to interact professionally and courteously with a diverse range of people
Strong sense of ethics and a commitment to following and upholding security protocols

Nice To Haves

Experience operating a forklift and/or high-lift
Experience utilizing a ticketing system to track issues and fixes

Responsibilities
