About The Position

INNOVIM is seeking a Mission Support Technician who supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This role is located at Vandenberg SFB, CA and requires an active DoW Secret clearance. The position is a day shift role and is not remote or telework eligible. Relocation assistance is not available.

  • Must have 4, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience which may be reduced with completion of advanced education.
  • Must have 2, or more, years of directly related experience in maintenance or security operations.
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience operating a forklift and/or high-lift.
  • Have experience utilizing a ticketing system to track issues and fixes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate support with other internal program elements to give and receive additional support as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining, securing, issuing and ensuring accountability for visitor restricted area badges in support of site access duties and distinguished visitor (DV) events.
  • Assist with installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and other Field Service activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct security briefings to required personnel regarding visiting and escorting MDA facilities.
  • Ensure construction and maintenance personnel are properly badged, are briefed on security standards and are monitored within the restricted area for conformance with all applicable security policies and regulations.
  • Ensure repairs are completed to quality standards and conduct post-repair quality checks to prevent repeat issues.
  • Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist staff personnel with plans, programs, and implementation of activities which may include security, logistics, visitor control, protocol events, scheduling, and test support.
  • Assist customer with maintaining security databases, tracking escort training and access lists to secured rooms, security containers within the facility and photographic device permits.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Understand and follow detailed instructions.
  • Write clear and concise reports of incidents or observations.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with a diverse range of people.
