Founded in 1888, Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County (UGM-TC) is a Christian organization dedicated to helping homeless women, men, and families by providing love, hope, respect, and a new beginning. UGM-TC is funded by community generosity and offers a residency program to help individuals transition out of homelessness and develop life skills to become independent. This position specifically works in a building for WOMEN and is a Part-Time/Flex/Floater role. The individual may be called upon on short notice to work any of three shifts to cover staff absences, typically working up to approximately 24 hours per week, requiring significant schedule flexibility. The Mission Support Mentor's primary responsibility is to support guest operations for UGM-TC's Overnight Shelter, Emergency Stabilization, and programs serving unaccompanied women and families. This role is ideal for individuals with customer service experience who want to make a difference, particularly those with prior experience in hospitality or retail as a front desk or customer service leader, as it involves checking people in, using computer applications, serving guests, and problem-solving.
