About The Position

Under close supervision, assist in the installation, support, and maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure, Communications, Mine Fleet, and End User Support. This role involves assisting with the installation and support of computers, peripheral equipment, and mobile devices, as well as networking technologies like Network Switches and Wireless Access Points. The technician will also support Mine Fleet on-board IT hardware and 2-way radio systems, and other IT infrastructure including Optical Fiber, Ethernet cabling, Cameras, field devices, and Access Control Systems. Active participation in safety and environmental programs is expected, along with performing other duties as required.

Requirements

  • One Year (1) Experience: Mining, Manufacturing, Industrial, Operations, Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated computational skills
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to fifty (50) pounds during the workday

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree in Information technology or related field
  • A+ or Network+ Certification

Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in safety and environmental programs and other programs determined by management.
  • Perform other duties as required.
