About The Position

The Minute Clinic Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner (Provider) delivers patient care through a remote technology platform, working with a dedicated team of professionals while independently providing holistic, evidence-based care. Services include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients aged 18 months and older. The role includes primary, acute, chronic, and transitional care, as well as pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, safer-sex practices, and contraceptive counseling and medication management. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Providers must meet remote-care delivery requirements, including broadband connectivity, a quiet setting with a neutral background, and the ability to protect patient privacy according to CVS Health guidelines. A hardwired connection is preferred. The position requires regular remote interaction with customers, computer and phone use, writing, speaking clearly, and hearing patient responses, as well as the ability to view and read computer screens and other electronic devices. Candidates must hold a current license in one of the listed states and be willing and able to obtain additional licensure as needed. The role requires a Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program, current national board certification, and a state license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse. The stated pay range is $37.66–$99.14, with the actual offer dependent on factors such as experience, education, and geography. The position may also be eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program.

Requirements

Currently licensed in CT, GA, NC, ND, NJ, NY, PA, SC, SD, VA, WI, or WV; must be willing and able to obtain additional licensure as needed.
At least two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent.
Completion of a Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Current National Board Certification and a state license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic, evidence-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning.
Evaluate primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients aged 18 months and older.
Provide education and treatment related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer-sex practices.
Provide patient counseling, including contraceptive care counseling and medication management.
Educate patients on health maintenance and respond to patient care inquiries.
Document patient care in an electronic health record according to MinuteClinic policies and procedures.
Coordinate patient care with internal and external colleagues, including the broader patient-centered medical home.
Work effectively with fellow providers, collaborative physicians, paraprofessionals, pharmacists, and other health care team members.
Work independently, prioritize and solve problems, take initiative, and advocate for patients and the practice.
