About The Position

The Mosaic Company is seeking a Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern for Summer 2027. This role will be based at the Four Corners Facility or South Fort Meade Facility in Florida. The intern will be assigned to projects focused on improving mining conditions and economics. This opportunity allows learning from professionals, offers competitive pay, and the chance to work with a global leader on exciting projects. The term is from May 10th, 2027, to August 20th, 2027, with full-time hours typically between 36-40 per week. This is an in-person position, with a potential 9/80 schedule.

Requirements

Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering.
2.75 GPA or higher
Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
Basic computer skills are required
Experience working in a team environment is a must
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus

Responsibilities

Learn all aspects of working at a site including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Mapping and more.
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
Participate in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
Adhere to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
