About The Position

The Mosaic Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op/Intern for Summer 2027. This role will be based at the Bartow site with potential travel to other Florida sites. The intern will be assigned routine electrical engineering duties, including projects and management. This opportunity offers the chance to learn from professionals, competitive pay, and work with a global leader on exciting projects. The term for the internship is May 10, 2027, to August 20, 2027, with full-time hours typically between 36-40 per week. The position is in-person and may operate on a 9/80 schedule if applicable.

Requirements

Third-year level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.
2.7 GPA or higher.
Basic knowledge of electrical theory including AC distribution and transformation, AC/DC motor control, power/analog/digital electronics, and electromagnetic properties.
Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Ability to work full time and be a student in good standing at the time of the co-op/internship.
Basic computer skills.
Experience working in a team environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electrical power system modeling software.
1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work.
Previous internship or co-op experience.
Familiarity with an industrial environment.
Effective verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Electrical power system reliability improvement projects.
Participation in root cause failure analysis and execution of associated corrective actions.
Troubleshooting of electrical power systems related issues such as power outages, electrical faults, and equipment failures.
Software-based electrical power system modeling, including data collection, field verification, and model modifications.
Work on electrical power system relay network expansion.
Analysis of existing electrical preventative maintenance plans, and development and implementation of new plans.
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
Participation in department meetings and project-specific meetings.
