About The Position

The Millwright Helper is responsible for executing helper duties to assist an assigned crew. The role supports mechanics with assembly and work performance, demolition, cleaning, and debris removal. It also involves material handling, basic rigging, pipe and conduit work, operating vehicles and tools, and building and ground maintenance. Additional responsibilities not listed may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the industrial construction or maintenance industry.
• Knowledge of fire protecting, different types of metals, bearings, mechanical seals, tandem seals, compression packing, multi-stage pumps, vertical pumps, different types of drive coupling, cooling tower fan units, gearboxes, and agitators.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic rigging tasks, including use of come-alongs.
• Thread metal pipe and conduit.
• Cut pipe, conduit, metal, and wood.
• Handle materials.
• Drive forklifts and pickup trucks.
• Use basic tools and care for tools.
• Use hand, electric power, and pneumatic tools.
• Assist mechanics with assembly and work performance, demolition, cleaning, and debris removal.
• Perform building and ground maintenance.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
