Millwright Foreman (ATL EQX SP)
About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Millwright Foreman for a project in Hampton, Georgia. The role supervises assigned craft workers and coordinates their activities to meet construction schedules. The foreman reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, schematic drawings, and job orders; communicates company policies; enforces safety regulations; estimates labor requirements; resolves work problems; and maintains time records. The position requires millwright journeyman experience, regular attendance, and may involve significant travel. Benefits and paid time off consideration begins after three months of employment.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of millwright journeyman-level experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Must be able to use required personal protective equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders and personnel lifts, and in awkward body positions.
- Must be able to safely access all areas of a property, including rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for the area of supervision.
- Interpret company policies for workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet the construction schedule based on equipment capacity and assigned personnel.
- Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
- Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Maintain time records.
- Perform frequent safety inspections of the work area, equipment, tools, and employees to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and the company safety program.
- Perform other duties as required.
