About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Millwright Foreman for a project in Hampton, Georgia. The role supervises assigned craft workers and coordinates work activities to meet the construction schedule. It requires journeyman-level millwright experience and supervisory experience. Significant travel may be required. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of journey-level millwright experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Appropriate journeyman experience.
- Ability to effectively use all required personal protective equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces with limited access, work on ladders and personnel lifts, and work in awkward body positions.
- Ability to safely access all areas of a property, including rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned craft workers.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for the area of supervision.
- Interpret company policies for workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet the construction schedule, using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel.
- Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
- Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Maintain time records.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and make decisions based on measurable information.
- Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
- Conduct frequent safety inspections of the work area, equipment, tools, and employees to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and the company's safety program.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
