Requirements

  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to do the hard labor that keeps a project moving.
  • Coachable, dependable, and on time — takes direction well and follows through.
  • Willing to travel and stay out of town for extended periods (per diem provided).
  • Able to lift, carry, climb, and work on your feet in an industrial environment.
  • Eager to learn the Millwright trade and earn promotion. No prior experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills — you manage multiple moving parts without dropping any.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership without being asked.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Move, stage, and haul equipment, materials, and tools so the crew always has what it needs, where it needs it.
  • Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe throughout every shift — clear walkways, no scrap piling up.
  • Set up and break down scaffolding, work platforms, ladders, and temporary equipment.
  • Offload and receive trucks, handle paperwork, and stage materials when deliveries arrive.
  • Assist with rigging, leveling, anchoring, and setting equipment under the direction of a Millwright.
  • Support pipe fitting, pipe hanger, and welding tasks — prepping material, purging pipe, maintaining fire watch, and grinding under supervision.
  • Help with wall, ceiling, and roof penetrations, roof curbs, equipment pads, and concrete anchoring as directed.
  • Follow all ARMI and customer safety requirements — hard hat and safety glasses at minimum, every time.
  • Reading blueprints, isometric drawings, and equipment installation manuals.
  • Proper rigging techniques, weight awareness, and safe use of rigging hardware.
  • Using laser levels, chalk lines, and machinist levels to position and level equipment to spec.
  • TIG welding fundamentals, conveyor modification, and precision anchoring in food-plant environments.
  • OSHA requirements for catwalks, platforms, and stairways.
  • Understanding how a project runs from mobilization to completion — and where you fit in.
