About The Position

We are recruiting for Journeyman Millwright OR Apprentice Millwright (3rd or 4th Year) candidates to join our expanding Canola Processing operations and Maintenance department in Yorkton, SK, Canada.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Journeyperson Red Seal Certification of Qualification as Industrial Mechanic / Millwright or Apprentice Millwright (3rd or 4th Year In Progress)
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Previous work experience within maintenance is preferred.
  • Previous work experience on a construction or industrial expansion project is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in entire Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Teams
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and philosophy for workplace safety
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally and efficiently communicate with different customers, departments and levels of the organization
  • Work effectively with minimal direction
  • Exceptional problem-solving, trouble-shooting, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Able to thrive in all types of work environments (colder food-safe temperatures with appropriate PPE, working on your feet and with your hands, continuously lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs)
  • Adaptable, and able to work with many different personalities and procedures
  • Detail-orientated, with strong analytical skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Able to work independently and manage various daily requirement
  • Must participate in an on-call schedule and overtime rotation for continuous operations support on days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Daily maintenance needs for all plant equipment.
  • Responsible for inspecting, installing, adjusting, and maintaining mechanical machines on site.
  • Continuous preventive maintenance on all production and non-production equipment.
  • Repair and assemble plant equipment in accordance with manufacturers specifications and standards.
  • Safely operate mobile equipment including working from ladders, platforms staging scaffolds, mobile equipment baskets.
  • Ensures compliance with Company safety and food safety rules by self and others and wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.
  • All other duties as assigned.
