About The Position

Boise Cascade is hiring a Millwork Prefinish Specialist to build made-to-order doors and windows in the pre-finish department, including painting and/or staining. The role involves checking product and raw-material specifications, setting up machinery and equipment, moving materials and finished products, maintaining an orderly work area, and following safety and quality procedures. The specialist may train others and may manage inventory and replenishment of materials. The position also supports environmental awareness and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.
Ability to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.

Nice To Haves

Technical certification or an associate degree may be required for the role.

Responsibilities

Construct made-to-order doors and windows in the pre-finish department, including painting and/or staining.
Check product and raw-material specifications, including lengths, angles, and sizes.
Set up door machinery and equipment according to specifications.
Transport raw materials and finished products to and from machinery, equipment, and storage areas.
Apply mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
Follow Boise Cascade safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
May train others and ensure work is completed and built to order specifications.
May be responsible for raw-material and finished-goods inventory and materials-order replenishment.
Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
