About The Position

TruStile Doors, a recognized leader in premium door manufacturing, is growing—and we’re looking for a dedicated professional to grow with us. As a Millwork Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our manufacturing operations. Machining employees ensure doors and jambs, and parts are built and machined properly to meet specifications found on production paperwork. This position will work with machining our wooden doors here at our plant. As opposed to machining metal, this position will oversee a much higher throughput with a lower accuracy threshold being necessary.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, time management, ability to work in a team, and people solving skills and high attention to detail are a must.
  • Ability to recognize wood species.
  • Ability to recognize defects specific to wood species.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay focused.
  • Knowledge of product line and quality standards of product line.
  • Ability to keep work area neat and clean.
  • Effectively utilize required equipment and materials to manufacture products.
  • Ability to correctly read a tape measure & caliper
  • Strong mathematical ability.
  • Ability to stand for 10 hour days
  • Lifting upwards of 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect jamb parts and doors to ensure quality of product and notifies lead of unacceptable quality.
  • Properly sets up machine for daily workflow by utilizing production paperwork.
  • Selects materials to be machined by prioritizing load dates and machining requirements.
  • Performs machine checks to verify proper machine set up.
  • Operates and maintains machinery by following specific direction as given by machining & lead.
  • Readies all parts per instructions on production paperwork.
  • Produces quality parts within spec [specify the margin that is acceptable] at a high volume as business needs.
  • Ensures all door parts are accounted for, are the correct wood species and are manufactured to requirements found on production paperwork
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/templates
  • Other duties as assigned.
