Millwork Craftsman
About The Position
EastCoast Builders is seeking a skilled Millwork Craftsman to create and install custom millwork for residential and commercial projects across New England. Working alongside and under the supervision of senior team members, the Craftsman supports installations, performs physical labor, and helps maintain a clean and safe job site. The role offers hands-on training and opportunities to develop woodworking, precision-cutting, and assembly skills. Pay is $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus and an extensive benefits package that includes company stock and a profit-sharing bonus.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic knowledge of woodworking tools, including hand tools, power drills, sanders, and nail guns.
- Ability to lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in construction, carpentry, or millwork is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with senior team members to support all stages of the installation process.
- Assist in preparing and installing cabinetry, moldings, trim, and other architectural woodwork.
- Ensure materials being installed are correct, properly prepared, and free from defects.
- Ensure machinery and tools are regularly maintained, calibrated, and safe to use.
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and plans.
- Lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Help maintain a clean and safe job site.
