2nd Shift Milling Operator - $24.07/hour
About The Position
As a Kesel Milling Operator with Stanley Black & Decker in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, you will set up and operate automatic milling and CNC milling machines to mill various types of teeth on different sizes and types of carbon steel and bi-metal backing coil material. This is a demanding, fast-paced position with deadline pressures, competing demands, and changing priorities. The listed pay is $22.09 per hour plus a 9% shift differential, totaling $24.07 per hour. A $500 sign-on bonus is paid after 90 days of employment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers.
- Ability to use numbers, including decimals.
- Ability to perform light physical effort, including lifting, pushing, and pulling 5 to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up milling machines to close tolerances.
- Check coils to be milled and coil tags for records of previous operations.
- Replace cutters after grinding.
- Maintain equipment and the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Report material defects, discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor.
- Ensure the quality of work performed.
