About The Position

We are seeking Mill Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill Operator, you will be responsible for running batches of ink at proper mill settings, packaging/canning finished product in various containers and applying labels, and cleaning and maintaining the machine to TPM Standards. You will also learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities, operate Hockmeyer mills at optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards, create and maintain a database of all existing formulas including processing times, and operate the press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift. Additionally, you will act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data, and complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. You will also help with repacks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or (GED) desired
  • 3 months of work related experience
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be reliable to work assigned shift
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required
  • Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.
  • Be able to perform an active role with any multi disciplinary teams.
  • Have good attendance and punctuality
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience, but we can train you
  • Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background

Responsibilities
