About The Position

The Mill Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork. Additional duties include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, and other related feed production duties, forklift operation and grain handling. The schedule is approximately Monday thru Thursday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm and Fridays 6:00 pm to 5:00 am with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork.

• Forklift operation and grain handling.
• Work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
• Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
