Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Strong math and mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both written and orally.
  • Ability to understand and carry out routine written and oral instructions and to work with little or no supervision.
  • Given proper instruction, ability to properly use the required inspection tools and procedures.
  • Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and height gages.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior CNC Milling experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and “G code” preferred.
  • Given proper instruction, ability to operate fork truck.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate milling machines to mill surfaces on metal work pieces.
  • Verify that lot cards have all previous operations signed off.
  • Select and load cutters in spindle collet.
  • Sets cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut.
  • Verifies dimensions of milled work pieces using various measuring instruments.
  • Bring gondolas from rack to machine and wash.
  • Operate manual and automatic mills.
  • Maintains proper fluid levels and coolant flow.
  • Ensure work is completed according to schedule.
  • Cleans machine daily and keeps work area orderly.
  • Performs preventative maintenance as required.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by Supervisor or Management personnel.
