Military Turbines Project Engineer I - Hot Section Engineering (Onsite)
About The Position
This position is part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP), a three-year rotational program designed to build technical breadth and leadership abilities. Participants will complete three to four rotations, gaining experience in different disciplines before graduating from the program. Upon graduation, participants will down-select a HSE discipline to join. The role supports an Integrated Product Team (IPT) within Hot Section Engineering (HSE), involving communication of technical issues and budget updates to various stakeholders, including CIPT leaders, HSE leadership, internal program offices, and external customers. Collaboration with purchasing, suppliers, customer support, and sustainment teams is also a key aspect of the role, aimed at supporting engine deliveries and addressing field challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering major obtained by start date.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Analog, Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Digital Signal Processing or PCB design.
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves

- Eligibility for Security clearance
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
Responsibilities
- Support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) consisting of Project, Design, Structures, and Durability disciplines within Hot Section Engineering (HSE).
- Communicate status of technical issues and budget updates to CIPT leaders, Hot section Engineering (HSE) leadership, internal program offices, and external customers.
- Collaborate with purchasing, suppliers, customer support, and sustainment teams to support engine deliveries and address field challenges.
