About The Position

This position is part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP) at Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems. The EDP is a three-year rotational program designed to build technical breadth and leadership abilities. Participants will complete three to four rotations, gaining experience in different disciplines within Hot Section Engineering (HSE) such as Project, Design, Structures, and Durability, before selecting a specialization upon program completion. The role involves supporting an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure engine deliveries and address field challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Analog, Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Digital Signal Processing or PCB design.
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • Eligibility for Security clearance
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) consisting of Project, Design, Structures, and Durability disciplines within Hot Section Engineering (HSE).
  • Communicate status of technical issues and budget updates to CIPT leaders, Hot section Engineering (HSE) leadership, internal program offices, and external customers.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, suppliers, customer support, and sustainment teams to support engine deliveries and address field challenges.
