About The Position

Frontwave is seeking a leader to develop and manage business strategies to facilitate credit union growth, maintaining relationships with military communities through member onboarding, financial education, and public relations activities to ensure quality service, improve retention of, and deepen Military memberships. Identifies and develops strategic relationships with our key business partners in the military communities we serve. This includes in-market select employee groups, key military base partners, sponsorship partners, and like-minded businesses to increase brand awareness, new member growth, and member retention. Acts as a Brand Ambassador for the credit union. Responsible for overseeing activities of assigned staff. Responsible for upholding and abiding by Frontwave’s Core Values and service excellence standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or related disciplines, plus five years of proven, hands-on experience related to sales, business development or community relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of financial industry products, services, and industry trends.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation to various event locations.
  • Broad understanding of military administration, ongoing operations, etiquette, and protocol.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities with little or no advance warning.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Experience of handling public relations with ability to appear on camera or on-air to deliver clear, engaging soundbites.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with military preferred.
  • A deep-rooted passion for military and community involvement with an existing local network of military, community, and civic contacts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs and promotions to ensure world-class new member onboarding and increase military member engagement, retention, and growth.
  • Maintain relationships with key members of military commands, related educational and community organizations with the goal of increasing membership, account relationships and developing opportunities.
  • Deliver credit union presentations and teaches financial literacy programs.
  • Attend regularly scheduled events on bases or in related communities to include military functions/events/award ceremonies, including occasional after-hours schedules to support relationships.
  • Recommend, create and implement programs and promotions that partner with military and related community organizations.
  • Make recommendations for sponsorship and business partnership opportunities, including event oversight and participation.
  • Research, analyze and resolve complaints and problems received from key contacts which affect member service, member accounts, or the credit union’s image.
  • Provide monthly reports documenting results generated by activities, including budget expenditures.
  • Function effectively under intense time constraints and structured environment.
  • Aid Branch Managers with respect to financial education sessions, events, and group liaison activities.
  • Ensure appropriate updates and/or exchange of information is communicated to management.
  • Present a professional appearance suitable for a military audience.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with credit union policies and applicable laws.
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct employment interviews and recommendations for personnel for hire following standard hiring procedures.
  • Ensure that performance evaluations are prepared and presented to the employee in a timely manner.
  • Monitor, maintain, and document accurate records for hours worked, and time off.
  • Approve timesheets biweekly for payroll processing.
  • Meet regularly with assigned staff.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline staff through verbal or written communication.
  • Assign duties and organize cross-training of jobs.
  • Act as a liaison with staff members to resolve conflicts.
