About The Position

Compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs according to physicians’ instructions in a hospital or healthcare facility. Consults with medical staff about potential drug interactions, patient medical histories, and the use of medications. Responds to patient questions about medications and dosage instructions. Ensures required pharmacy data is recorded and maintained and follows applicable regulatory, security, and hospital procedures.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred.
