Responsibilities

  • Provide differentiated and hands-on instruction in academic areas for middle school students with a wide variety of disabilities, but primarily SLD.
  • Case manage no more than 12 students.
  • Complete due process work, including progress notes and IEPs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team, including speech/language pathologist, social worker, occupational therapist, classroom teachers, intervention teachers, and associate educators.
  • Stay highly engaged with collaborative teaching and mentoring systems of support.
  • Analyze and adapt provided curriculum.
  • Teach in a way that supports Minnesota state standards and the student’s IEP.
  • Effectively collect and interpret data to guide instruction.
  • Provide individualized instruction based on student needs.
  • Partner with families and guardians to support students.
  • Establish a strong culture of learning.
