About The Position
Saint John Paul II Catholic School, a PreK3–8th Grade diocesan school in Lecanto, Florida, is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher for grades 6–8 for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a regular full-time position, with part-time work also potentially considered, and is scheduled to begin August 1, 2026. The teacher will support the mission of Catholic Education and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP). The school provides mandated Catechism and IB training. Applicants must complete a Level II background check.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Hold or be eligible for Middle Grades Science (5–9) or Science (6–12) certification from the Florida Department of Education.
- Ability to incorporate technology into classroom instruction.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Skill in providing differentiated instruction.
- Complete a Level II background check.
