About The Position

Cross Country Education is hiring a Math Teacher in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to teach 7th- and 8th-grade mathematics. The teacher will provide instruction across five daily class periods, supporting approximately 16–34 students per class. Instruction should be engaging, standards-aligned, and designed to build problem-solving, critical thinking, and academic confidence.

The teacher will develop and implement daily lesson plans using established curriculum resources and pacing guides, adapting instruction to meet diverse student needs. The role also involves maintaining a structured classroom environment, monitoring student progress, and using assessment data to inform instruction and support learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–2 years of classroom teaching experience in middle school or secondary mathematics, including lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification in Mathematics is preferred.
• Non-certified candidates may qualify with at least 12 college credits in mathematics and relevant classroom teaching experience.
