About The Position
Aug Prep South Middle School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated math teacher to inspire students to reach their vast math potential. The school currently serves over 2,400 K4-12 students at its South Campus and is launching a North Campus in the 26-27 school year. - Master’s degree a plus
- Bilingual (written and spoken) in Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Build upon the strong foundation established in our current math programs
- Foster a cohesive and inspiring middle school math experience while preparing students for success in our high school math program
- Guide and mentor students in classroom instruction and small groups
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Eureka Squared math curriculum that spirals skill development and fosters math challenges
- Create meaningful opportunities for students to showcase their math knowledge
- Communicate proactively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues, providing frequent updates on student progress, classroom activities, and school initiatives
- Work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues, supervisors, students, parents/guardians, and community members, maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships that foster a strong, inclusive environment for optimal learning
- Continuously seek professional growth through building and department meetings/professional development, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars/in-services
- Serve with a flexible, open heart that recognizes no duty is outside the scope of your role--we are a team that is stronger together in service of our students
- Collaborate with the Math Team to support continual student improvement
- Monitor and support students during morning arrival, lunch, recess and dismissal
