Responsibilities

  • Build upon the strong foundation established in our current math programs
  • Foster a cohesive and inspiring middle school math experience while preparing students for success in our high school math program
  • Guide and mentor students in classroom instruction and small groups
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Eureka Squared math curriculum that spirals skill development and fosters math challenges
  • Create meaningful opportunities for students to showcase their math knowledge
  • Communicate proactively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues, providing frequent updates on student progress, classroom activities, and school initiatives
  • Work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues, supervisors, students, parents/guardians, and community members, maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships that foster a strong, inclusive environment for optimal learning
  • Continuously seek professional growth through building and department meetings/professional development, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars/in-services
  • Serve with a flexible, open heart that recognizes no duty is outside the scope of your role--we are a team that is stronger together in service of our students
  • Collaborate with the Math Team to support continual student improvement
  • Monitor and support students during morning arrival, lunch, recess and dismissal
