About The Position

Stratford School is seeking a dependable, engaging, and caring Middle School Lunch and After School Study Hall Teacher to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students during lunch and after-school programming. The role supports students throughout the day through lunch supervision, study hall, and enrichment activities. The teacher helps students enjoy lunch, complete work, participate in activities, and feel supported and engaged. Working closely with the team lead and school leadership, the teacher ensures students are appropriately supervised, safe, and engaged. The position is located in San Jose, California, and runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The pay range is $20.00–$23.00.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Supervise students during lunch and outdoor periods.
Positively engage with students and create a welcoming lunchtime environment.
Support appropriate student behavior and reinforce school expectations.
Facilitate daily study hall, enrichment, and program activities according to the established schedule.
Supervise and positively engage with students during indoor and outdoor activities.
Provide support and encouragement as students complete assignments and independent work.
Assist with classroom and activity management.
Ensure the physical safety and well-being of students.
Communicate with the team lead regarding student needs or concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Follow school safety and supervision procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
