About The Position

Alma del Mar is a K-8 charter school with a mission to guide scholars towards college and foster service-minded leadership through a demanding yet supportive, content-rich educational environment. The Associate Teacher role is designed for individuals new to teaching, offering hands-on experience and a clear path to becoming a lead teacher. Associate Teachers will be part of a grade-level team, collaborating with and learning from experienced Lead Teachers. Responsibilities will grow throughout the year, including increased involvement in lesson planning and lead teaching. The position includes ongoing professional development, frequent feedback, and coaching. Specific content areas and instructional roles will vary based on the academic year, scholar needs, and team approaches.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as part of a grade-level team.
